An unusual Deruta wet drug jar, 17th century; brightly painted in blue, green, yellow, ochre and turquoise on a white background; with an elaborate drug label in blue lettering SY DE AGRESTA (syrup of sour grapes) above a young angel; in centre of handle a heart motif with letters R.A. inside and triple cross above; painted leaf and berry pattern; bulbous body with handle and spout
