Portrait of an Italian Noblewoman

Description

A portrait in oils of an Italian noblewoman, possibly Neopolitan, c.1710-20.

This portrait was once thought to be of Eva Maria Garrick, wife of David Garrick, and had been attributed to Francois Boucher (1703-1770). The original identification of the sitter and artist now seems unlikely.
