Shakespeare's School and Ancient Guild Hall of Stratford

Description

A hand-coloured print of the Grammar School and Guild Chapel, Stratford-upon-Avon engraved by W.J. Linton from an original drawing by Edward Duncan, about 1847. The print shows the King Edward VI School and Guild Hall, Stratford-upon-Avon from the gardens, including the Guild Chapel. Two gardeners are depicted in the bottom right of the picture and a wheelbarrow with a watering can is shown in the central foreground. The engraving was published in the 'Illustrated London News', on 18th September 1847.
