The Merry Wives of Windsor

Description

The painting depicts a conversation between Anne Page and Slender in The Merry Wives of Windsor Act I scene i, the lines - Anne 'I may not go in without your worship, they will not sit till you come'. Slender 'I faith, I'll eat nothing, I thank you as much as though I did'. Exhibited at the annual exhibition of the Society of Painters in Watercolours in 1825. By John Masey Wright.
