Pen and wash drawing by John Masey Wright (1777-1866), O.W.S., of 'Romeo and Juliet', Act 2, Scene 2. Depicts Romeo and Juliet in the 'Balcony' scene. Mounted, unglazed. From the Abbott & Holder sales catalogue: 'These all come from an album of J.M. Wright drawings, they are charming, spontaneous sketches in pencil and brown wash.' This one however is in pen and grey wash.
