Description

'The Gower Monument' by William Wells Quatremain, watercolour on paper. Quatremain lived in Stratford-upon-Avon from at least 1871 until his death in 1930. He was a professional artist and art teacher and also painted set backdrops for the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre (which later became the Royal Shakespeare Theatre).
