Carved oak chest
Description
A 16th-century oak chest front now incorporated with parts of another chest; the moulded rectangular top above a single plank chip-carved with patterns of roundels and trellis above window-lancets; raised on shaped plank ends; English, about 1530; 13 inches of the left-hand end replaced, the lid and back from a secondary chest; new bracing underneath, new lockplate.
