Armchair

Description

A late 17th century oak armchair; the carved and moulded cresting-rail above a single panel, carved with a diamond; flanked by shaped arms raised on column-turned supports; the twopplank seat raised on moulded rails with column-turned legs with plain stretchers and turned feet; English, c.1680; the whole considerably restored, including replacement arms, seat and left arm support; the lower legs entirely re-built; lower rear back inscribed WB.
