Signet Ring

Description

Gold seal ring with the arms of Stratford-upon-Avon, 1937. The bezel is engraved with the coat of arms of Stratford-upon-Avon - a chevron between three leopard's heads. The underside of the bezel is engraved 'E. P. R. / 9: XI: 37.'. The shoulders are engraved each with three parallel lines. The ring once belonged to Ernest Percy Ray who was Mayor of Stratford in 1937. It was given to him by his wife, Mabel. Made by Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd who at that time were based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
