At the start of the season Mary Ellis played Volumnia, James Vowden played Citizen 7 and Mary Chester played unnamed parts. From 8 August these parts were played by Rosalind Atkinson, John Nettleton and Patricia Salonika respectively. From 26 September the part of Roman Senator 2 was played by Richard Marks instead of John Foster, Junius Brutus by Philip Morant instead of Lyn Evans, Volscian Senator 1 by Alan Townsend instead of Philip Morant, and Volscian Guard 2 by Michael Behr instead of Alan Townsend.
