The Hollow Crown

Originally performed on 4 September 1960 as part of the Stratford-upon-Avon Poetry Festival, it appeared at the Cambridge Arts Theatre on 5th March 1961 before its first Aldwych performance on 19th March with readers Max Adrian, John Barton, Richard Johnson and Dorothy Tutin. During the year it was performed a number of times with different casts, always consisting of three male and one female reader.
