With Much Ado About Nothing toured the UK and Europe from 6th June to 17th December including a season at the Palace Theatre in London and three weeks at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre. Venues: 21-26 June, Blatter des Burgtheaters, Vienna, Austria; 29 June-2 July, Schauspielhaus, Zurich, Switzerland; 5,5,9,10,15 July, Koninklijke Schouwburg, The Hague, The Netherlands; 7,8,11,16 July, Stadsschouwburg, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; 13-14 July, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Rotterdam, The Netherlands; 20-25 September, Hebbel-Theater, Berlin, Germany; 27-28 September, Opernhaus, Landestheater, Hannover, Germany (King Lear only); 29-30 September, Theater am Goetheplatz, Bremen, Germany (Much Ado About Nothing only); 2-3 October, Deutschen Schauspielhaus, Hamburg, Germany; 7-9 October, Det Kongelige Teater, Copenhagen, Denmark; 13-18 October, Nationaltheatret, Oslo, Norway. From the start of the tour to 16th July Peggy Ashcroft played Cordelia. Claire Bloom took the part for the London season and by the Stratford run in November Mary Watson was playing it.
