Producer
A co-production between the Royal Shakespeare Company and two amateur companies: the Bear Pit and the Nonentities. Regional primary schools were also used. Performances started at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford with The Nonentities and The Bear Pit with Alveston Church of England Primary School, Bridgetown Primary School, and St Gregory's Catholic Primary School. The production then toured round the country with local amateur dramatic groups playing the roles of the mechanicals and local primary school children playing the fairies. These groups all came to perform in Stratford for different dates when the production returned in the summer.
The Mechanicals (the Bear Pit): February 17, 19, 22, 25, 27, & 29; March 3 & 4
The Mechanicals (the Nonentities): February 18, 20, 23, 24, & 26; March 1, 2, & 5
